Just read a story about James Corden and Sir Patrick Stewart getting into a row on Tuesday at the Glamour Awards, Apparently Picard - Sorry Sir Patrick - criticised Corden for showing his Belly, to which James Corden started that he could see Stewart Dying, before ending the spat saying "Can We order a Taxi quickly, we have an old man who needs to get home."Now I have to admit my respect for Sir Patrick took a denting when he came out to Crawley to support Chris Oxlade in the last election campaign, as I think it is unfair for people who can easily afford another term of Labour Government to try and inforce it on the vast majority of us who can't. All of this aside however he is without doubt one of this countries best stage actors and along with Sir Ian McKellen have managed to stay true to their stage roots whilst building a succesful Movie/TV career the other side of the water. I am sure that Sir Patrick will not take it too hard, as I doubt he cares too much what Mr. Corden thinks of him, but I felt that Corden went too far, if the only thing that the rotund "comedian" could pick on is Stewart's age, then that is testiment to the success he has had.
One final point, is that I would suggest to Mr. Corden that if he wants to live to see Patrick Stewart dying then he may want to start thinking about losing some weight.
